The start of Spring Practice!

Spring football practice is finally here, and I couldn’t be more excited to get back on the field. After months of off-season training, lifting, and conditioning, there’s something special about the energy that comes with the first day of spring practice. It’s the time when the grind really starts to pay off and the anticipation for the upcoming season grows stronger with each practice.

There’s just something about the sound of cleats hitting the turf, the whistle of the coach, and the feeling of adrenaline coursing through your body as you put on that helmet again. It's not just about the physical part of the game, but the mental preparation as well. Spring practice is an opportunity to improve techniques, work on new plays, and build chemistry with teammates. It’s that time when you get to dust off the rust, reset your mindset, and begin to sharpen all the skills that will lead to success on the field.

What makes spring football so exciting is the chance to experiment and evolve as a player. Whether you’re learning a new position, developing different moves, or working on your stamina, there’s always something new to focus on. The coaches are also evaluating everyone closely, which makes for an incredibly competitive practices where everyone is fighting for a spot on the depth chart. But that competition brings out the best in everyone.

The best part of spring practice is the togetherness among teammates. Spending hours together on the field, pushing each other to the limit, and striving toward a common goal creates bonds that can last a lifetime. The laughter, the friendly trash talk, and the shared sense of accomplishment after a tough drill make the whole experience something to look forward to.

Of course, the weather is finally warming up too, and there’s just something about practicing in the fresh spring air that makes everything feel a little bit better. You can already feel the excitement building as the season draws nearer.

Spring football practice may be demanding, but there’s no place I’d rather be than back on the field with my teammates, ready to put in the work for the upcoming season.

Social Media Marketing using TikTok Shop

In this week's chapter we talked about social media marketing on the constantly growing app TikTok and in this post I want to dig a bit deeper into one of TikTok’s newest features. It has already been well established that TikTok has proven itself to be more than just a platform for viral dances and memes. With over 1 billion active users, it’s become a powerhouse for brands looking to connect with audiences in creative and authentic ways. And with the introduction of TikTok Shop, the platform has officially blurred the lines between content and commerce, opening up new possibilities for marketers and businesses of all sizes. At its core, TikTok thrives on short form video content that feels organic and engaging. Unlike traditional ads, TikTok videos are often native in feel, blending storytelling, humor, trends, and creativity. This authenticity builds trust, and trust is gold in marketing. Now, with TikTok Shop, that trust can be converted directly into sales without users ever l...

Week 5: Leg Day

Hello readers, today is the 5th week of off season training and today I’m talking about our leg day lift. Leg day is always a highlight in our summer workouts. For anyone who plays football, strengthening the lower body is absolutely necessary for both power and performance. Today’s workout was all about pushing the limits and leaving everything in the weight room. For Coach Walker each workout is always about building explosive power, endurance, and stability, but today’s focus was on squats and hang cleans, two lifts that are integral to both our training and on-field performance.  We started with hang cleans, which are one of the best exercises to build explosive power, especially for football players. This lift best reproduces the movements involved in sprinting, cutting, and tackling. With a decent grip on the bar, I explosively pulled it up from a dead hang, quickly snapping my hips to create explosive speed and momentum. The barbell flies up, and you catch it at shoul...

Week 2: The Lift that almost took me out!

Hello to my readers we are now on week 2 of my spring camp journey. To do a small recap on what happened last week we just began the year and had our first team meeting with the head coach to go over the standard and go over the scheduling for the following spring season. Also that slipped my mind last week is that we have now added a brand new strength coach who I’m a fan of and that some of our former players are going to be the assistant strength coach which I believe will help us get over the hump this coming season. Now to get into this week after a bit of a recap, we have finally gotten to week two and to be all honest it was a way harder week then the first one.   Starting off strong on Monday we had our usual morning lifts. Now mind you our lifts are a different style then it was last year and what I mean by that is last year we were big on force output on our weight which I excelled at but now it’s a bit different with Coach Walker (The strengt...
